It turns out that Demi Lovato was notified of Joe Jonas's confession on their alleged weed smoking with Miley Cyrus.

In an intervew with Giuliana Rancic in her show "Beyond Candid With Giuliana," the "Skycraper" singer reveals that prior to the release of Joe's essay, the latter informed the former about his confession on weed smoking.

"He had warned me a couple of days before," Demi told Giuliana.

"I don't even remember [smoking] because clearly, I was chillin'. But I'm pretty [sure] it happened," Demi says further.

And despite the confession of her ex-boyfriend, Demi reassured him that she had no hard feelings over the matter by calling him, saying "Relax. We're good. Just don't be so stupid next time."

In December 2013, Joe Jonas confessed through an essay as told to Jennifer Vinegard of New York magazine that Demi Lovato and Miley Cyrus introduced him to smoking weed.

"The first time I smoked weed was with Demi and Miley [Cyrus]. I must have been 17 or 18," Joe wrote. "They kept saying, 'Try it! Try it!' so I gave it a shot, and it was all right. I don't even smoke weed that often anymore."

The former co-stars of "Camp Rock" dated some time in 2010; but their romance was short-lived, breaking up just after four weeks.

Joe recounts in the essay-interview how he ended up dating Demi after years of knowing her, and how he had to deal with her issues, including drug abuse.

"I felt like I needed to take care of her, but at the same time I was living a lie, because I wasn't happy but felt like I had to stay in it for her, because she needed help. I couldn't express any of that, of course, because I had a brand to protect," he said back then.

Meanwhile, Demi also opened up to Giuliana about her entry into a rehab facility which, according to her, 'saved her life.'

"I don't think anybody can save your life except for yourself," she said. "That was a key element in realizing I had to change."
