Demi Moore & Miley Team Up for LOL: Laughing Out Loud [VIDEO]
Proving she's one girl "Who Can't Be Tamed," Miley Cyrus stars in a whole new movie that's not even close to her Disney character "Hannah Montana."
Director Liz Azuelos has made the perfect choice for the lead of this remake of the 2009 French film. The story revolves a young rebellious teenage daughter who gets involved in drugs, failing school, sex and the wrong friends. Despite Miley not having any close resemblance to her on-screen character Lola or Lol, it has made quite an impression on the actress.
"It's pretty gnarly," shares Cyrus in an interview by Reuters. "It's about a daughter who is involved with all the wrong kids, doing drugs, failing school, but the mother has her on this perfect pedestal. I just fell in love with the story."
Miley failed to mention that her character also jumps on a plane with her love interest on film, Douglas Booth, to Paris where she loses her virginity and parties her heart out. If that isn't teen rebellion, then Miley isn't halfway done with proving she's all grown up in real life.
Despite what film critics and Miley haters say about the actresses' involvement in the movie, Demi Moore defended the young celebrity saying she is "incredibly grounded" and definitely nothing like Lola, her character on film.
"[Miley] is a true professional, and she truly has a wonderful family," said the actress in an interview with MTV. "It really shows."
Demi Moore, a divorcee in real life, will be playing Miley's on-screen mother. Apart from struggling with her divorce issues, Demi has to deal with her daughter's bad grades and partying habits but the actress fondly shares she's looking forward to seeing the film hit the big screen soon enough.
Choosing to ignore the title and the story, Miley Cyrus and her rebellious acts on film would likely make viewers go "OMG" than "LOL." This is certainly one coming-of-age film that even Billy Ray Cyrus wouldn't laugh about but heck Miley will be Miley and the girl surely knows how to make a statement.
"LOL: Laughing Out Loud" is said to hit theaters later this year. Watch the trailer below and judge it for yourself if it's something to LOL about indeed.
