Derek Jeter played his last game as a New York Yankee at the Yankee Stadium last Thursday and the end of an era ended beautifully as Jeter led the Yankees to a 6-5 victory over the visiting Baltimore Orioles.
Jeter is the all-time Yankees hits leader and is playing in the final season of his colourful MLB career.
"I want to take something special from Yankee Stadium and the view from shortstop here tonight is what I want to take home," Jeter said in the post-game interview. "I've only played shortstop throughout my entire career and the last time I want to play was tonight.
