'Designated Survivor' Season 1 Episode 8 spoilers: President Kirkman tries to settle two leaked scandals; Wells does her best to stop MacLeish’s plans for the vice presidency

In “Designated Survivor” Season 1 Episode 8, President Tom Kirkman (Kiefer Sutherland) will be busy trying to look for the persons responsible for leaking classified government documents on the internet, at his expense. News of Al-Sakar leader Majid Nassar’s (Nicholas Massouh) death and Tom’s real relationship to alleged son, Leo, (Tanner Buchanan) will be revealed.

The synopsis for the episode, titled “The Results,” President Kirkman will initially anticipate the election of a new set of congressmen. However, there will be a sudden change in the circumstances that will compel the former Secretary of Housing and Urban Development to consider the cancellation of the elections of the new House of Representatives completely. The surprising development that will force the President to take drastic action will soon be revealed.
In the “Designated Survivor” Season 1 Episode 8 trailer, Leo, the President’s son, will discover that the latter is not his real father. The press will finally disclose to everyone that Leo is not actually Tom’s son. One scene showed the first lady Alex (NataschaMcElhone) hugging Tom and Leo, then asking whether they are indeed father and soon. Furthermore, the press will also leak that the Al-Sakar leader Majid Nassar (Nicholas Massouh) died while under FBI custody.
CarterMatt writes that the recent scandals will potentially compromise Tom’s presidency, so they have to find a way to downplay the news. The President will subsequently discover that the party responsible is hiding beyond his reach inside a foreign embassy.
Congresswoman Kimble Hookstraten (Virginia Madsen) will prepare to take advantage of the White House’s troubles and visit the President during the episode. In the meantime, Atwood (Malik Yoba) will ask to talk to the woman working for the mysterious Catalan, who previously kidnapped his son, Jason. However, his request will be denied, and he may be ordered to tell the President that Congressman Peter MacLeish (Ashley Zukerman) should be Vice President. Meanwhile, Agent Hannah Wells (Maggie Q) will furiously collect evidence of MacLeish’s involvement in the entire conspiracy before he can become Vice President.
