'Designated Survivor' season 2 cast updates: Veteran actor confirms recurring role, posts intriguing photo in the White House oval
"Designated Survivor" returns for Season 2 in March 2017
Many “24” fans were delighted when “Designated Survivor” was first announced. It looks like a lot of Kiefer Sutherland fans missed seeing him in all his grit and glory on screen and, this time, as the President of the United States.
A little later, fans were even more delighted when they saw familiar faces like Mykelti Williamson and Mariana Klaveno on the show. There may be a lot of recurring elements, but the show has not failed to deliver something new with every episode with its intense plot.
Among these recurring actors, one of them is Rob Morrow, who has recently announced that he has been cast as a recurring character in the second season. This is great news for those who have been following this actor throughout his film career and, given his experience, there is surely a lot that he can offer.
There have been no details at all about what Rob Morrow would portray in Season 2. His roles in the first season were also quite minimal. However, eagle-eyed viewers would say that this entertainer has done more behind the camera than in front of it. For all that fans know, he might just give the show the spice that it deserves.
This news was confirmed by Rob Morrow himself through his official Instagram account. In the post, the actor and director sported a three-piece blue suit and brown dress shoes while leaning on a wooden desk, which appears to belong to a high-ranking official, possibly the President of the United States. Such desk lies in front of an American flag and on it is the official presidential seal. [See photo below]
The post is captioned “On the set of #designatedsurvivor starting cool recurring character who will be in second half of season.” At this point, however, such caption and picture still remains very cryptic. Given what has been posted, fans can be almost certain that they can see Morrow beneath the halls of the White House in an official capacity. He could probably be on Kiefer’s side as they deal with a lot of insider plots, terrorist attacks and more political fiasco.
“Designated Survivor” returns for Season 2 in March on ABC. It also airs on Netflix US and Netflix Australia.
