Manchester United winger Nani signs a five-year deal with Manchester United for want of choices.

The Portuguese has been subject of speculations during the 2012-2013 season of the English Premier League because of displays of inconsistent performances under then manager Sir Alex Fergusson.

Fergusson was on the brink of selling him, but for some reasons, such did not materialise.

It seems like United are desperate and are running out of choices because of failing to lure in world-class players to Old Trafford.

However, David Moyes, who seem to lack charisma to clinch the signings that United wanted, seems to be content with mediocrity.

"I'm really pleased Nani has re-signed for the next five years," Moyes told The Guardian.

"He has great ability and experience and beyond his 26 years."

Nani also expressed his pleasure for having sealed the deal.

"Playing at United has been a fantastic experience for me," said Nani.

"When I came to the club, I never imagined the success we have enjoyed. Training every day with top players who want to win trophies every year is a great motivation to me."

"I'm very happy that the new manager has shown this faith in me and I'm looking forward to helping the team compete for more honours this season."

Overall, keeping Nani in United is not all that bad because he is still a quality player. But it is more of a downgrade for the Red Devils because Nani is not a player within the Manchester United standards.
