‘Destiny' dev unveils new April Update Preview, teases new Prison of Elders, Quests and Light Level
The first of many teasers and previews for the April Update of “Destiny” had started with the recently concluded livestream. Following this, the developer had put up a page for the April Update.
Seen here, the new “Destiny” April Update page gives hints as to what the new challenges, rewards and quests will come. The story continues with the April Update, where the Taken forces appear to have been swept out. As the story goes, there is one that escaped and need to be hunted down by the Guardians.

Apart from the continuing story, “Destiny” players can also look forward to another raise n the max light level to 335. Difficulty and the Rewards for the Prison of Elders, Court of Oryx, Heroic Strikes, King’s Fall Raid, Iron Banner, Trials of Osiris and the Nightfall Strikes have all been increased.
A new mode dubbed Challenge of the Elders will be running with scoring, weekly boss battles and more rewards. This is a major update to the Prison of Elders, which would become Level 41, and have challenges for “Destiny” Guardians featuring the Taken and eight updated bosses. The scores will make use of the recently teased leaderboards in Bungie’s official website, as scores will be tacked on the Elder’s Sigil, which ca be claimed from Variks every week.
The update will also introduce a new quest featuring the Blighted Chalice Strike. This will pit players against what is dubbed as the pretender taken Prince. Finally, the Taken Strike: Winter’s Run will also see the Taken now corrupting the Prison of Elders. Repeatability also seems to be Bungie’s aim for the “Destiny” April Update as Polygon reported that the Challenge of Elders mode will have four months’ worth of challenges that vary enough to not repeat. This was confirmed by Community Manager David “DeeJ” Dague.
This seems to be the first of many new information leading to the release of “Destiny” April Update. Two remaining Twitch streams are expected on March 30 and April 6.
In the meantime, “Destiny” players can look forward to a new “Destiny” Armsday Foundry Order and Test Weapon. PlayStation Lifestyle has the complete list of weapon bounties that can be used to grind the Gunsminth rep to level 1. Screenshots of the weapons available for order are in the link above.
