"Destiny" is already looking at a bright future, regardless of whether or not Guardians are continuing on with their journey with the new raids or not. Recently, publisher Activision has announced that "Destiny 2," which is the sequel of Bungie's latest shooter title, is already in the works. This development occurred before the first DLC, "The Dark Below," has even been released.

Considering that the official count of players for "Destiny" has been reported to 9.5 million registered users with active players clocking in three hours of daily play, DualShockers reports that the chances of a sequel is high. This comes from Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg, who stated that the next full game release of "Destiny" is already in the drawing board together with future expansion packs.

Moving on to the nearer future of "Destiny," though, Bungie has already outlined the plans that it has for changes in the game before "The Dark Below" debuts. In the latest weekly update care of Bungie, the changes coming to the title are aimed at making players find new ways of enjoying "Destiny."

"Two days ago, I stood at a whiteboard and scribbled as fast as people could talk to map out a communication plan for all the promises we're about to make. You've been asking for schedules and ETAs, but it's best to save promises for the moment when you now you can keep them," said community manager David "DeeJ" Dague via the official Bungie website.

Even though the details of times and dates have not been specified, Bungie has provided a rundown of what exactly players should be expecting in the coming weeks, especially since The Dark Below will see launch in Dec. 9. There will be a variety of things that will come with the updates, and Bungie has hinted items and gears while there are a few more updates that are targeted toward increasing "level of engagement."

Bungie has already mentioned some improvements coming to "Destiny." These include channels for talking to match-made teammates, stronger upgrades for exotic weapons, new Legendary gears and more in "The Dark Below. But it appears that there is a full list waiting for "Destiny" fans, and Bungie has finally detailed them in this list:

- New shaders for your gear

- Ways to preview items before you spend your Glimmer

- Greater chances of "showers" in public spaces

- Adjustments to some arenas that needed better traffic flow

- New economies to equip you with upgrade materials

- Fixes, patches and other invisible technical evolutions

- Some other tricks up our sleeve

- Maybe even a more generous Cryptarch

There's still a long and winding road before "Destiny" reaches its first DLC, and Bungie has promised more details to come for the newly revealed items. In the meantime, the bug that makes players lose investment data in "Destiny" is now currently being investigated upon by Bungie. Because of the incident, Bungie has promised to build more logging features that will track changes in your accounts with greater detail and care.
