Developer Bungie is taking “Destiny” players through a number of new details and updates as the game goes into its next major expansion, The Taken King. This time, the “Destiny” 1.2.0.5 hotfix has finally landed, bringing with it a few fixes to some weapons and updates for the PvP mode.

First off, Bungie has finally dealt with the issue that affected the drops for the Husk of the Pit. More than just fixing this, Bungie has even increased the drop rates by 150% for the weapon in Blades of Crota. Newly acquired Exotic weapons can now also unlock the Packing Heat achievement.

For PVP, there the playlists of both House of Wolves Clash and Control have been updated to include some maps with a lower weight in rotation. The former now includes Rusted Lands, Shores of Time and Pantheon while the latter will have the Firebase Delphi, Twilight Gap and Blind Watch. Both modes will have the Exodus Blue for PlayStation players.

Finally, the playlists for Inferno and Doubles now have varying tuning values for the ammo crates. The initial spawn time and respawn intervals have been changed to 180 seconds for the Special Ammo. Heavy Ammo crates can now only spawn once in a match at 300 seconds. On the other hand, there will be a maximum of three crates for Special Ammo at one time, Bungie announced via its official website.

Before The Taken King finally lands on “Destiny,” players will still get a chance to level up their Guardians in time for the next adventure. Bungie is giving away free Etheric Light to “Destiny” players via the postmaster, Attack of the Fanboy reported.

The Etheric Light can help upgrade weapons even more while the next update has not yet arrived. It does help in bringing more power to players’ attacks to take down a few more enemies or earn more loot to keep before The Taken King.

The Etheric Light can be used to upgrade the gear and increase the Light Level. There is the additional bonus of nine strange coins for “Destiny” players who have yet to register in Bungie.net. The promo will last until the end of the month, but all players need to do to accomplish this is to sync the Bungie.net with the either the PS Network or the Xbox Live, go to the settings in the profile page, find notifications and enter the email.
