After announcing the dates for "Destiny's" beta, as well as the different editions offered for the game for the different platforms, Bungie has also announced the installation space that "Destiny" will take up for the PS4.

Spotted by Gameranx over at a Sony Entertainment Network listing, it was revealed that PS4 players will need to prepare 40 GB worth of download size to play "Destiny." Another thing to consider would be the DLCs and possible patches in the future for “Destiny,” which could also affect the expected download size.

The report does take into consideration other possible additions, especially for the other platforms. For instance, other requirements may be needed for "Destiny" Xbox 360 version, or the fact that there may be differences for the next-gen and current-gen versions of the game.

Xbox Users Show Disappointment with Beta Announcement

It seems things are flowing pretty smoothly for the PS4 and PS3 versions of "Destiny" given that the beta has been set for 9 days. But those who will be playing "Destiny" on Xbox platforms are not as satisfied with their 5-day beta run.

Over at Bungie's official Web site, the developer has also acknowledged the reactions in the Xbox community in its latest blog post:

"Bungie wishes you a Happy Bungie Day. This is just a short thank—you to fans who've inspired them to strive harder. (There is a surprising amount of pushback right now in our forum about this—there is a feeling by Xbox owners that it's not really a 'Bungie Day,' but a 'Playstation-owning Bungie Fan Day'—which really doesn't roll quite so smoothly off the tongue."

One of the more vocal forums users is petetheduck, who expressed his disappointment as such:

"Bungie, this is garbage, and I'm tired of it. I would rather see Destiny be a Playstation exclusive than have this continual series of disappointments. At least then it would be done and over with. This is another kick in the balls every few weeks, and that's what I have to look forward to for the next decade? 4 Days of Beta?... I never expected Bungie would be like this to a community that has supported them for a decade. Bungie should, honest to God, be ashamed of themselves."

It should be noted that, even though Bungie has acknowledged this, it does not look like the decision for the beta will change any time soon.

Petition for 'Destiny' to Arrive on the Wii U

Xbox owners are not the only ones with the gripe at some of the PlayStation exclusives for "Destiny."

The game is also not debuting on the Wii U. And owners of Nintendo's own next-gen console have even created a petition in an attempt to effect some change.

Cinema Blend spotted the petition over at Change.org, where Wii U owners are expressing a simple request:

"Release the upcoming title, Destiny, on the Wii U."

The petition is already closed, however, after reaching 2,230 signatures in total. Though the interest to bring it to the Wii U is obvious, there's may be little chance that this will be recognised by Bungie or Activision, especially not when there have been no clues so far as to a possible inclusion of the console to "Destiny's" lineup.
