Bungie's latest update for "Destiny" fans covers a whole range, starting with a hint of what's to come for "Destiny" fans. Bungie also touched on the possible upcoming events.

"There will be new ways for you to build upon your legend. Some of them will be revealed very soon. Others will appear when you least expect them. When you see what I've seen, I hope you'll be as excited as I am," said community manager David "DeeJ" Dague.

As a teaser, Bungie has given a few hints on the kind of events that "Destiny" fans can look forward to. For instance, the next Iron Banner will see dramatic differences between players who are at different levels. While Bungie has not detailed just how much the difference will be, it did mention that those who are planning to enter the next Iron Banner will need a Fireteam leader who's already at Level 20. Those who are at a lower level will find the event to be quite challenging.

The next Iron Banner event will also encourage players to not quit, as there will be a Medallion of Iron even when players lose. This allows losing players to convert the Medallion into a reputation gain on their next win.

More weapons are also up for grabs, this time more exclusive and powerful in nature. The exclusive reward will be up to Level 30 on the next Iron Banner event, though availability will still be only for two slots. Bounties will also push players, so these have been bumped down as their values were bumped up.

Lastly, two new feature requests have been granted by Bungie. The first is the offer of Reforging any Iron Banner weapon via Lord Saladin for a re-roll of upgrades. Players need a number of Motes of Light to do this. The second is a 12-hour buff called Tempered, where players can boost Iron Banner rep gains. Look forward to more announcements from Bungie this week.

In the meantime, for those who are looking for more things to enjoy in "Destiny" while the promised events are still on their way,

there's an interesting theory by Reddit user thanatonaut regarding the Black Gate on Mars.

According to the user, it activates on its own sometimes, wherein there is a reported "crazy trippy screen effect" coupled sometimes with a loud unique sound that echoes across the sea.

As the Redditor puts it, the voice sounds distorted at best and scary at worst, as it is audible near the Strike boss' giant sandcrawler. For the most part, the speculation can point to two things. The first is that it could be really nothing but just effects, and thanatonaut has already posited this. But another is that it could be the venue for an Easter egg from Bungie. Given the developer's tendency to distribute Easter eggs throughout the game, it's not entirely impossible. One of his suggestions is to have something in the inventory to gain entry to whatever the possible Easter egg is.

Furthermore, the suggestion is for something Vex-related, perhaps one with a Pocket Infinity to go into the destination. For anyone interested, one can go inside after killing a wav and stand in the blinding center. Thanatonaut is basing this on the description of the item, which is "You cannot shake the feeling that this is less a weapon than a doorway."
