‘Deus Ex Mankind Divided’ to get Breach live game mode and a mobile title
The world of “Deus Ex Mankind Divided” already looked interesting as it is. But Square Enix has announced some additions to the game that are set to expand the universe even more, specifically in the form of an iOS title and a live game mode.
In a press release, Eidos-Montreal and Square Enix have confirmed the live game mode, dubbed Breach. It seems like an entire entity of its own. It is a game mode included in “Deus Ex: Mankind Divided." It will bring an arcade approach to the gampeplay of the title via a connected puzzle shooter experience.
The player will take on the role of a Ripper, with the goal of obtaining and selling highly classified corporate data, infiltrating secure servers and acquiring and upgrading skills and arsenal. There will be rewards, XP, credits and booster packs available. In addition, players can challenge their friends from anywhere.
“We are introducing a brand new game mode to Deus Ex. In addition to being a new visual approach for the players, the Breach mode broadens the lore of the ‘Deus Ex’ universe,” said David Anfossi, Head of Studio at Eidos-Montreal. “Breach also reinforces Deus Ex: Mankind Divided’s gameplay experience with a totally different setting.”
On the other hand, there’s “Deus Ex Go,” a turn-based infiltration puzzle that will be available on the iOS and Android sometime this winter. Players will get to be double agent Adam Jensen and use hacking, combat and augmentations to go through the puzzles.
Fans of “Deus Ex Mankind Divided” can look forward to the game in a few months’ time. To tide the wait, Square Enix has released a new gameplay demo that shows off where Adam Jensen is now in the new installment.
Spotted by Comicbook, the trailer supposedly occurs 30 hours from the train station terrorist bombing. During that time, Jensen’s augments have also been affected by the incident.
From the last title, there are some noticeable changes that have occurred in game. Society has become very wary of augmented citizens. To expand the game, Square Enix has also started to incorporate a more tiered approach, giving verticality in the “Deus Ex Mankind Divided” some room for growth and strategic experimentation.
Match this with some more weapons, and it makes strategy, stealth and support more vibrant for the new game. “Deus Ex Mankind Divided” will arrive on Aug.23 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
