Devina DeDiva Fired: Miss World Megan Young's Basher Jobless After Racist Comments
Devina DeDiva, who easily became the most hated woman in the Philippines following her insensitive comments directed towards Miss World Megan Young and the entire Filipino race, was reportedly fired from her position as an assistant teacher of a school being run by Filipino superiors.
According to the Philippine Inquirer, a reliable source informed the publication that DeDiva was booted out of the school just days after firing shots at Young's victory as the 2013 Miss World and calling Filipinos unprivileged, smelly and uneducated maids.
"Miss Philippines is Miss World? What a joke? I didn't know those maids have anything else in them. Hahaha," DeDiva posted on her Twitter account.
Former Filipina beauty queens like 2005 Miss International Precious Lara Quigaman, 1993 Miss World Second Princess Ruffa Gutierrez and 1973 Miss World runner-up Evangeline Pascual gave their all-out support to the newly crowned Miss World, and at the same time, defended her from the infamous Facebook basher.
"I read her Facebook page... [Perhaps] she did that because she knew that Filipinos supported each other and ... maybe thought she'd gain followers and/or haters by attacking Megan. We should just dismiss her and not give her the fame that she craves," Quigaman told Phil Inquirer.
"Haters are always going to hate. It's not because of what's around them; it's what's within them. Simply ignore [them]. I laud our OFWs who work hard to give their families a better life, a brighter future. Let's spread peace, love and positivity instead," Gutierrez said.

"Anyone who puts down other people is already [down in the dumps]," Pascual stated.
DeDiva was previously reported as a Singapore-based Indian studying at Manchester University in Indiana, USA. However, the University immediately cleared that it has no student named Devina DeDiva and the school would have never tolerated such insensitive action.
"Manchester University (Indiana, USA) has been mistakenly associated with an individual Devina DeDiva today after she made racist comments regarding the recently crowned Miss World from the Philippines. To clear up any confusion, the University has confirmed that Devina DeDiva has never been a student at Manchester University (Indiana, USA)."
"In addition, Manchester University stands as a place of differences where the community engages in respectful dialogue cultivating individual beliefs and values. In our accepting community, the racist comments made by this individual would not be tolerated as respectful."
