In the previous episode, Zoila decides it is best to be honest to her groom. His reaction, however, proved otherwise. Javier backs off from their wedding; Zoila is devastated. The new episode synopsis says Genevieve is making a “heartfelt offer,” which implies some consolation for the bride who could not lie.
The final act of the previous week’s episode shows Blanca getting abducted. This is bad enough. For Carmen, this is even more upsetting because Blanca is wearing her lovely red dress. Blanca had spoken about having to dress up nicely for Zoila’s wedding, and Carmen eagerly volunteered to lend her a sexy formal dress.
Blanca’s employers, Michael and Taylor Stappord, have a seemingly complicated secret in connection to their adopted daughter. In an earlier episode, Michael appears to have sent someone to his own house to abduct their adoptive daughter. In the previous episode, Blanca approaches Michael for answers, but Taylor interrupts her.
“Devious Maids” Season 3, episode 4 is expected to show what happens next to Blanca and Zoila. It is also expected to reveal more about Rosie’s husband, Ernesto. It has been revealed that Spence wanted to wait indefinitely in view of Rosie’s recovery from being comatose. Ernesto ignores Spence’s request and shows up at the wedding, causing Rosie to pass out.
“Since You Went Away” will be followed by “The Talk of the Town” on June 29. The next episode’s synopsis does not mention Blanca. What could have happened to this character portrayed by new cast member and “Glee” alum Naya Rivera?
