Dexter Season 8, Episode 10 shows the shocking death of someone very close to Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall). Debra (Jennifer Carpenter) rejoins Miami Police and renews romance with Quinn (Desmond Harrington). But she has unwittingly put herself in grave danger.

Daniel Vogel aka Oliver Saxon (Darri Ingolfsson), the Brain Surgeon whose murders Dexter has been following since the premiere episode of Dexter Season 8, has shocked him. He has shown Dexter a tragedy he's never seen since he was a toddler. It is difficult to tell which is worse: young Dexter sitting in a pool of blood in a horrible massacre, or adult Dexter seeing his spiritual mother die of slit throat?

As Dexter Morgan hugs the dying Evelyn Vogel (Charlotte Rampling), the Psychopath Whisperer of FBI and Miami Police, he becomes a new man. In Dexter Season 8, Episode 1, Dexter finally learns the truth behind Harry's Code. Now he is shredding a lot of his old skin.

Evelyn's monstrous son has killed her. Evelyn has saved Dexter, but not her own son. Dexter had repeatedly warned her against this very moment - her own son killing her. But a mother's love is stubborn. And Dexter is left feeling odd emotions he's never felt in his life. Dexter Morgan is grieving. For viewers, Dexter Season 8 finale comes speeding by. This is closure, this is the end. Or is it?

Charlotte Rampling and Darri Ingolfsson are such brilliant actors. Their entry into Dexter's world provided a lot of suspense and drama that's most fitting for a series farewell.

Hannah McKay (Yvonne Strahovski) is said to be Dexter's undoing. Dexter Season 8 would be very different without Hannah in the picture. Had she not come back to Dexter's life, he would have been more focused in his pursuit of the Brain Surgeon. Now Oliver Saxon remains alive.

Next week, in Dexter's penultimate episode (Dexter Season 8, Episode 11), Debra Morgan will fight another one of Dexter's battle. According to a Reddit leak, Debra goes after Oliver Saxon, and the result will be catastrophic. Dexter's final episode will be tragic - and a new psychopath will be roaming Miami.

The final season of Showtime's Dexter is expected to be tragic. A lot of fans forecasted Dexter's own demise. Some fans said Debra will kill her brother. Well, Deb makes an attempt at killing herself and her brother a couple of episodes back. It's not likely to happen again.

Dexter Season 8, Episode 12, the series finale, airs on Sept. 22. It's called, "Remember the Monsters?" Next week, the gripping penultimate episode, "Monkey in a Box," is a must-watch. Dexter, Hannah, and Harrison leave Miami for a life in Argentina. Will they make it?
