Dexter Season 8 finale spoilers have reached another level when a supposed finale leak surfaced on Reddit some days ago. Spoiler alert: Read at your own risk.

One Morgan dies, says the Dexter Season 8 finale leak. Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall) survives and Debra Morgan (Jennifer Carpenter) is killed by the Brain Surgeon, the leak narrated further. It may be fan fiction; it may be the real deal. But the details posted are pretty convincing.

So there were finale spoiler photos that came up months ago, and an elaborate Dexter Season 8 finale leak released just days ago. Photos and text are reconciled effectively. If it's not the real deal, whoever wrote is a legit fiction writer - a fan fiction expert.

"This is a claimed leak of the final episode of Dexter. Take it with a grain of salt, of course, but this is the most legit sounding one so far," says the Reddit finale leak description.

Fans are encouraged to take a pause and digest some facts. One, Jennifer Carpenter said during Dexter Season 8's SDCC 2013 panel that she wants Debra to have some closure. (This could be a hint that Deb dies.) Two, Michael C. Hall hints in a separate interview that he wants to find out why Dexter is narrating the way he does - who is he talking to? (This probably suggests Dex lives on.)

"When you examine any serial killer, there are only so many endings you can have -- and serial killers don't generally end on a happy note," says Dexter executive producer Scott Buck in this old The Hollywood Reporter interview.

Fans are ready for a tragic ending. It's 'Dexter,' as Buck has said. But the manner by which Debra dies - if she dies - is still expected to break hearts. Since Dexter Season 1 premiere (pilot episode), Dexter has made it clear Deb is the only person he can associate to the word love. Despite Harrison's arrival and Hannay McKay's entry into his life, Deb remains to be his No. 1 ally - even if she has tried to kill him.
