But the supporting characters in Dexter Morgan's life make the show very unique and special. Having said that, the actress playing Harrison's nanny has a great teaser for fans.

Who can forget the key moments of Dexter Season 7? Dexter Morgan breaks his code and inadvertently pushes his lieutenant sister Debra to be a cop killer. Seeing Debra wrap her arms around LaGuerta is gut-wrenching for so many reasons. Those who know their history since the pilot episode could have felt their insides being pulled out towards the last minutes of the finale.

"She may have played political favorites, but LaGuerta was by no means a murderer. Dexter was a major catalyst for her killing, meaning it's the first time he's truly broken The Code," actress Aimee Garcia tells TV Fanatic.com. Dexter Season 8 will explore the effects of this unexpected turn. "The scripts have more curveballs than I've ever read... and we'll see another side of Jamie. Things progress. Things happen," she continues. Who will be surprised if the nanny winds up as another femme fatale in the series?

Debra Morgan, blood-stained and muddled in the head, is a whole new person in Dexter Season 8. The actress who plays Debra, Jennifer Carpenter, talks about her character's struggle to support her serial killer foster brother. Making things even more sick and complicated is the fact that Debra told Dexter she is, or was (supposedly), in-love with . Carpenter talks about the finale scene of Dexter Season 7.

"I wish they'd had cameras on what was happening between takes," Carpenter tells Zap2it. She adds, "Lauren (Velez) and I have a really special relationship, so on a personal level, it was complicated to be sending a friend off."

There are many things to look forward to in Dexter Season 8. One of the main ones is Hannah McKay, played by Yvonne Strahovski. She does not appear on the Season 8 premiere, but it's only right. There is so much to process for Dexter fans, so her return should better be at a truly appropriate time.
