Upcoming actress Lily Collins is determined to take a bite of that apple, no matter what project it is.

In an interview with Access Hollywood, Collins admitted having auditioned for both Snow White movies due next year: 'Snow White and the Huntsman', which has Kristen Stewart onboard, and 'Mirror, Mirror', the role that she bagged.

"I did read the other Snow White script," she shares to Elizabeth Chambers, wife of Armie Hammer, who plays Prince Charming on the film.

"I auditioned for it, but I've been so excited for Kristen. I think that story is so different than ours and the girls are so different." says Collins.

The 'Abduction' star hasn't shown any bitterness at all on not having gotten the other lead.

"She's perfect for her version, and I'm really excited to be doing this one and I they have totally different audiences."

True enough, as seen on their trailers, both have deviated from the original tale, but just how different?

"It's very much a comedic adventure and I think the other one is a little darker," explains Collins, who tells the obvious.

"The images of our films are very, very different. They're both kind of untold stories, so you know they're different in their own ways."

Collins stresses that even though 'Huntsman' is clearly the action-packed one, it doesn't mean that 'Mirror, Mirror' is all damsel-in-distress.

"This was insane training," she said about prepping up for the fight scenes.

"I've been fight training and fencing for about three months now... I was kickboxing, doing some stuff on wires. It's been really intense." Collins added.

The "insane" training might have worn down Lily a bit.

"I've gotten a lot of bumps and bruises, but so far no bad injuries," she said.

Collins adds being awed by Julia Roberts despite playing the role of the Evil Queen, whom she said has brought the charm that the latter was known for.

"Julia was amazing... Her laugh and smile - that's classic Julia and she brings that to the movie, but she puts a twist on it because she's evil," Phil Collins' daughter gushes.

"She's got that same 'America's Sweetheart' smile and laugh, but it's so evil and it's just the mental mind games and the eye contact and she was so gracious on and off set and we had a great time." praises the young star.

So which of the two 'Snow White' films would prove to be a success? We'll have to wait for 2012 to find out.
