Katy Perry has always been admired by both pals and gals not just because of her pretty face, interesting songs and weird antics plus costumes. She is also loved by many tattoo fanatics and those who are even in the planning stages of having a tattoo.

The tattoos that the pop star has are not just random designs but they reflect a certain meaning that connects close to her own personality. Some of it symbolizes her beliefs while another exposes her love for her now ex-hubby Russell Brand.

The Tattoos

On Katy Perry's left wrist, the name of Jesus is tattooed as a reminder and sign of her religious beliefs and roots of her faith. Not many easily believe that she was raised to sing only Church songs now that she is popular for eccentric and sexy pop music. Her domination over the pop genre started with her 2008 hit song 'I Kissed a Girl.'

On her left ankle is a smiling strawberry that is with colour as quirky as her. Its size is not too big to be noticed quickly but it has its own appeal that is cute and interesting to look at. She announced this strawberry tattoo over Twitter last 2009. It was at East Side Ink in NYC that she got her strawberry tat.

Perry's latest tattoo had a match with Russell Brand. It is in Sanskrit saying 'Anuugacchatu Pravaha' which when translated to English means 'Go With the Flow.'

It was marked on the inside of her bicep making it only visible if the pop star would show it off. They got these matching tattoos after their engagement.
