Previous reports claimed Doctor Stephen Strange will be featured in "Avengers: Age of Ultron." He would supposedly be introduced in the sequel before starring in his standalone film, which will be released on Nov. 4, 2016. The recently released trailer for the sequel has once again teased the Sorcerer Supreme's possible presence in the movie.

Marvel has released its second official trailer for the much-anticipated "Avengers" sequel. While few believed it to be the second teaser, Forbes writer Scott Mendelson thinks it's actually the third. The first trailer, which was supposedly set to debut on Oct. 28, 2014, was unfortunately leaked on Oct. 22. Then Marvel and Disney decided to follow it up with a slight variation of the same teaser on Nov. 12. Recently, another trailer was released showing more action and the much-talked about fight between Hulk and Iron Man in his Hulkbuster. However, what's interesting to note is the other scene hinting the involvement of Doctor Strange in the sequel.

In the video below, the 0:39 time mark shows a hospital gurney and some surgical equipment, which allegedly allude to the character's profession in the Marvel comics as a neurosurgeon. However, it's still unclear whether it's really Doctor Strange wearing the white gloves, since the video clearly shows a woman attending to the person lying on the gurney.

A somewhat similar scene was likewise featured in the first trailer released for "Avengers: Age of Ultron." According to a previous report from the International Business Times, the 1:00 time mark in the video below also shows the same hospital equipment. Additionally, the presence of an abandoned mansion atop a hill is supposedly a nod to Doctor Strange's refuge (see 0:48 mark). Coincidentally, the second trailer, at the 0:45 time mark, also shows a similar-looking mansion as it's being invaded by robots.

According to the IBTimes, in order for the character to build his story, Doctor Strange needs to first make an appearance in any of the upcoming Marvel films. While the "Avengers: Age of Ultron" trailer may provide a hint to the character's presence, IBTimes claimed Doctor Stephen Strange could also be featured in "Captain America: Civil War." One of the supposed plot twists in the movie reportedly involves Captain America and his team of superhumans seeking refuge inside the Sorcerer Supreme's Sanctum Sanctorum.
