The popular British period drama "Downton Abbey" Season 5 will not be shooting a scene similar to the wedding massacre of "Game of Thrones." Also, it is very unlikely that Season 5 will feature the death of a character.

Julian Fellowes, creator of "Downton Abbey," has ruled out the possibility of someone appearing with a machine gun in his show and shooting indiscriminately. He, however, has confessed that he finds "Game of Thrones" a "terrific show" and despite that, he is not going to show something similar to 'Red Wedding' in "Downton Abbey."

In an interview with Express, Fellowes said, "There will not be someone coming in with a machine gun. I can't see it. Every show has its own rules and as long as you stick to those rules you do not disappoint."

""Game Of Thrones" is a terrific show, "Mad Men" is a terrific show, "The Good Wife" is a terrific show and we are pretty good too and all could not be more different," Fellowes said to Express.

"Downton Abbey" has had its own share of killings, not done in a gruesome manner though. The show's creator had to bear the wrath of fans when Matthew Crawley met with an accident and died at the end of Season 3. It was the decision of Dan Stevens, who played Matthew, to quit the period drama series that prompted the writers to kill his character. Lady Sybil died during childbirth, as the actress portraying the role, Jessica Brown, did not want to fall into her comfort zone. Valet Green was also killed after he had raped Anna.

The good news is that Season 5 will not see the death of any character. Actress Lesley Nicol said to Daily Star that there are no "plans for any big characters to die" in the upcoming season.

"There has been such a big fuss in the past, especially with Matthew Crawley. I think it would be very unwise to do any more deaths because the viewers don't like them," Nicol said.
