The "Dracula" TV series opened with high expectations, poor ratings and falling viewership but now is witnessing a resurgence. The fans of the show have remained steadfast and loyal to Jonathan Rhys Meyers in this rollercoaster journey so far.

The producers of "Dracula" TV show took a bold step in experimenting with the look, motive and role of the characters in the show. Like any new experiment there were those who found the show to be a little boring while others welcomed the fresh perspective.

The show started off with high promise and got the fans excited with the trailers, the sneak previews and the posters. Many fans found the new look of Jonathan Rhys Meyers as undeniably hypnotising.

"Dracula" however started to witness a drop in viewers with each new episode and received some of the lowest ratings. The show has recently seen a rebound with improving viewership and a growing fan base.

Although there were concerns about Jonathan Rhys Meyers' troubles with substance abuse the star has not disappointed the fans so far in the series. His fans love and swear by the actor. Will this strong faith by his fans mark a turnaround for the actor in 2014?

Substance abuse has robbed the fans of many a talents in Hollywood but some of them have been able to overcome this addiction and gone on to become huge stars, most notable among them in recent years is the star of "Iron Man" movies Robert Downey, Jr.

There were some concerns that given the low ratings of the show "Dracula" may just be done with season 1 and not be renewed for another season. But with better numbers and a fan base who just can't imagine the show not coming back there will be a lot for NBC to consider.

There are those who still find the show to be dull and prefer the plot to be simpler and more straightforward. Fans however welcome the intellectual angle to the iconic character and enjoy the fact that they can't guess what will happen next.

Whether the readers love the show or just hate it, one thing is certain "Dracula" can't be written off and may be here to stay for the long haul. Will Jonathan Rhys Meyers charm his way into the living room TVs of his critics?
