Irish actor Jonathan Rhys Meyers plays as an English king fond of power, pretty women, fancy dresses, and chopping heads of uncooperative courtiers and cheating wives in "The Tudors." Rhys Meyers then takes another iconic role as a vampire, who used to be an Eastern European king fond of power, pretty women and defeating rivals as powerful and rich as himself.

The producers of "Downtown Abbey" bring back Irish author Bram Stoker's "Dracula" in sexy to comic and past to present adaptations. The old Vlad the Impaler takes on the guise of American businessman Alexander Grayson with blood freshly infused from a desiccated imprisonment. He seeks to bring an abundant source of energy to the world and take revenge against the ancient order that killed the woman he loved, until he meets a woman.

36-year-old Rhys Meyers plays a dead man pretending to be alive. He acts as if the man has no spirit, no blood pumping through his veins, no real emotion, completely dead inside. "Dracula" is about a penny dreadful of gory stories, Bram Stoker's style. There's one tiny human part in him that causes pain but he is an immortal monster. There's a small desire for life and death. It is about what it means to suffer from love and have everything taken away.

How attractive would sleeping with someone's who's been dead for 400 years be? "Dracula" has an erotic edge. There's sex involved but this is not quite a pretty vampire thing. With harsh lighting and a severe look, Dracula sometimes appears charming and attractive but sometimes afflicted and monstrous.

Rhys draws experience from his King VIII "The Tudors" stint as he plays a terrifying and alluring Dracula. He is a diabolical and erotic character that viewers will be both repulsed and hooked with. He interprets the book and mix it with Vlad Tepes' history and his own personal experiences to portray the role. The Dracula team promises to work very hard to make it erotic, entertaining and provocative but not for little girls. Rhys insisted never to bite a man's neck and to keep his teeth for women because there's something quite sexual about biting someone's neck.
