Rapper Chris Brown said that rival singer Drake instigated the violent fight that turned a prime partying place into a bloodbath.

Brown finally broke his silence and provided his side of story about the violent bar fight between him and Drake that injured five other people at the W.i.P. club in New York last Friday.

"I have turned over evidence that it was Drake who instigated this. The evidence makes it clear that Chris is the victim in all of this," Chris Brown's lawyer Mark Geragos told the New York Post.

"My client was the victim of a cowardly attack. What sort of people throws bottles and glass?" Geragos quickly added.

According to the sources and witnesses, the two rappers and their entourages squabble by throwing punches and bottles. The source of the fight is each other's affection to pop singer Rihanna who was not in the scene.

According to a witness, a note was sent from Drake's table to Brown's that reads "I am f...ing the love of your life." The note was sent around 4AM right after Chris sent a bottle of expensive champagne to Drake's table. The note is about Chris ex-girlfriend Rihanna who was linked briefly to Drake.

Model Ingrid Gutierrez who was sitting at Brown's table said to New York Post that she saw Chris asks the waitress to send a bottle over Drake's. The waitress then came back with a piece of paper and gave it to Chris. However, although Chris was definitely upset, he threw the note on the floor, the model added.

Then, Drake, rapper Meek Mill and all of their bodyguards walked over to Brown's table where Chris sat not wearing a shirt.

"They were giving him [Brown] the middle finger. They got into each other's faces and were shouting at each other. Chris told Drake to f... off, and the next thing I could hear is the sound of smashed glass and mayhem started," Gutierrez said.

The model said that someone from Drake's entourage punched Chris who was trying to flee the riot. However, there were bottles flying everywhere. Gutierrez was hit by a bottle on the head that caused bleeding. She then sat down on the couch covering her face.

"I was on the couch, covering my face, because I'd been hit on the head by a bottle and my head was bleeding. I thought I was going to die," was her exact words.

NBA star Tony Parker was with Chris Brown that night and was injured in the melee. He said that a shard of glass scratched his retina. Parker went to Paris to begin preparations for the Olympics with the French team.

"I was with my friend Chris Brown and me and my friends took some punches, so I'll be missing the start of the French team because I can't do anything for a week except keep the lens in and then take drops," Parker said to USA Today.

In the fight, a 25-year-old man suffered a severe cut on the head, two men and two women suffered minor cuts. At least three of the victims were hospitalized.

Chris Brown tweeted a photo of himself with a cut on his chin and other tweets about the altercation. He tweeted, How u party wit rich n----- that hate? Lol... Throwing bottles like girls? #shameonya!." However, the rapper later removed the tweets.

The authorities obtained surveillance videos as well as talking to the patrons who witnessed that brawl. The police arrived at the scene later but the rappers already fled. Thus, no arrest was made.
