A lot of apps are already available for practical uses: reminders, calendars, notebooks, notepads, and organizers, all aimed at organizing the adult in you. However, the recently launched iPad app DrawQuest takes a different route--from organizing clutter to taking out the clutter in art.

The brainchild of 4chan and Canvas founder Christopher "moot" Poole, DrawQuest is more than just your average drawing app.

What can get you going with DrawQuest is that you already have a challenge laid out to you.

These drawing challenges come on a daily basis, and all you have to do is turn a simple template into something that expresses your innermost child that chases after creativity and expression.

"Putting an adult in front of a blank piece of paper and a pen [asking] them to do something with it is one of the scariest situations you can put them in," said Poole to TechCrunch.

This is what DrawQuest tries to offset--the fear of not creating something great or worthwhile.

The adventures you can do with DrawQuest

You can be asked to create your own superhero, or create a monster you'll find under your bed, reports USA Today. And you can do this by using tools that are similar to most drawing apps. These can include a paintbrush, pencils, markers, and the like.

However, you also have the chance to get more tools and colors using coins collected from your previously completed pieces shared in the daily pool, according to TechCrunch.

What's more, you don't have to worry about a competitive atmosphere. Gizmodo reports that you're really there to complete each drawing quest (hence the name), share it with friends, and just be satisfied by having created something creative.

Beyond expression of individuality

"DrawQuest isn't about 'winning' or becoming the next Picasso. DrawQuest is about re-learning to express yourself creatively and sticking with it," said the DrawQuest team in their official page. "Everything about DrawQuest--from our simple drawing tools to the ability to star and play back drawings--was designed to foster a community of budding creators."

And a community it brings, as another one of DrawQuest's unique features is the ability to have and view a gallery where you can see other's creations, as well as like their handiwork.

For now, DrawQuest is available exclusively for the iPad, but hopefully, a version will also be released for the Android, to provide the avenue for creativity to more people.
