A 42-uear-old woman from Austria landed in a swimming pool after swerving to avoid a rabbit in the road.

Martina Boller, 42, told authorities in Grafenwoerth, Austria, that she was cruising the road when she saw a rabbit. She used her brake but had to steer when she realized the bunny has not moved.

The move caused her car to make a splash landing through a garden hedge into a swimming pool.

A firefighter who responded to the scene commented, "She managed to land exactly in the pool which would have been quite a stunt if she'd meant to do it."

"Apart from being very wet and very embarrassed the driver was not hurt," they added.

The police called in a crane to lift the car out of the pool.
