A police report said that over 18,500 people attended the event at the Regatta Center.

Court attendance notices were handed out to 81 people for illegal drug possession. Police said that six people arrested and charged with drug pushing.

Police said that over 275 people that received medical attention for drug and heat related sickness. Seven people were taken to the Nepean Hospital for further treatment.

However, the organizers of the Australian wild dance party Defqon.1 were pleased with the success of the event. Moreover, there were noise complaints mostly from nearby neighborhoods of Cranebrook and Emu Plains.

Businesses and the local government would like the dance party festival to stay for good. Hotels on Penrith are always fully-booked when the Defqon.1 is held.

The city government stated that the event is responsible for bringing in $1.7 million in the city's economy. According to a survey conducted by the bureau of tourism, tourists spend an average of $88 per day during the event.
