Drugs, paraphernalia recovered from ‘El Chapo’ indicate drug lord had ED
Until his recapture on Jan 8, Mexican drug lord Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman was a very powerful person, running a drug cartel and even escaping from his captors. However, based on drugs and paraphernalia found in his hideout, the man lacked control over his manhood.
Business Insider reports on Thursday that among the things that Mexican police found in his hideout were injectable testosterone, syringes, antibiotics, anti-inflammatories and a prescription for more than 4,000 pesos (AUD$320) worth of sexual performance-enhancement drugs. Sin Embargo also reports that Guzman left his cartel residence in Sinaloa State once to undergo surgery in Tijuana.
According to Mexican journalist Carlos Loret, El Chapo – whose age is estimated at 60 – was suffering from erectile dysfunction (ED), so he got a prosthesis implant similar to what 43-year-old Scot virgin Mohammed Abad has. He risked being caught in having the surgery because the procedure could not be done in rural Sinaloa.
Guzman has several children from multiple wives, and is married to ex-beauty queen Emma Coronel. But he was infatuated with Mexican actress Kate del Castillo, which led to his recapture. It was his desire to have an eyeball with the telenovela actress that made El Chapo agree to have an interview with Hollywood actor Sean Penn whom Guzman has never heard of, according to transcripts of text messages exchanged between Guzman and del Castillo, published on Wednesday by Mexican daily Milenio.
With his ED solved, El Chapo likely tried it while spending Christmas with his current wife and during New Year with Lucero Guadalupe Sanchez Lopez, a Mexican legislator who belongs to the National Action Party. Lopez visited Guzman in June 2015 when he was still detained at the Altiplano prison. While she had denied knowing El Chapo, Lopez’s lawyer confirmed her visit.
The drug lord is lucky to survive his surgery. In 1997, Juarez cartel head Amado Carrillo Fuentes died while undergoing plastic surgery.
