Drunk UK Passenger Gets Naked, Challenges Pilot, Gets Tasered at Manchester Airport

A 52-year-old UK man, by all effects drunk, was unceremoniously tasered by police at Manchester Airport when he got naked down to his birthday suit, tattoos and beer belly for all to see. Not only that, he likewise challenged the pilot to a fight.

Arriving at Manchester Airport from Malta via an easyJet EZY1328 flight in the morning of Sept 26, the passenger was found to have been abusive and swearing at other passengers while still on flight.

"He'd had an altercation with other passengers and the captain had come down the plane to calm him down," an unidentified witness said.

Passengers thought that was the end of it. The pilot returned to the cockpit and the flight went on. The plane landed at Manchester at 1.28 pm.

But passengers and airport personnel got the surprise of their lives when the unidentified passenger who had a Manchester accent after coming off the plane and then down the steps toward the tarmac, all of a sudden stripped naked down to his underwear, gestured to the pilot and challenged him to a fight.

"He must have been drunk because when he came off the plane, he took his top off and shouted 'come on then' in a Manchester accent and was trying to get the captain to fight him," the witness said.

"Then he carried on taking all his clothes off. I have no idea why. The woman he was with gave him a slap for it."

Even more trouble when he urinated up the side of the Terminal One building.

Police, arriving at 1.40 pm, tried to sustain him but he refused to cooperate, forcing law enforcement authorities to eventually taser him down. Eventually was arrested and escorted from the airport.

"At 9.50am on Thursday September 26 2013, police were called to Terminal One arrivals of Manchester Airport following reports a man was drunk and being abusive to passengers on a flight from Malta," a spokesman for Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said.

"As he left the plane, he took his clothes off and urinated against a wall."

"A 52-year-old man was stunned using an electronic stun gun and arrested on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly in a public place. He was issued a fixed penalty notice."
