Duchess of Cambridge in Early Stages of Labour, Checks into Hospital
Kate and William checked into St. Mary's Hospital early Monday morning
The Duchess of Cambridge is in labour, say emerging media reports.
And Prince Williams is reportedly by her side, as she gives birth to the third in line to the throne.
In a series of leading up to event, William and Kate entered St. Mary's Hospital, Paddington, west London at 6:00 BST.
A statement released by the Buckingham Palace has said that Kate was in an early stage of labour and that everything was progressing nicely.
Reports hinted that neither William nor Katie were aware of the baby's gender, but the baby would be the third successor to the British throne.
According to a spokesman, the royal couple travelled to the hospital without police escorts.
The private Lindo Wing, where Kate will give birth, is also the place where William and Harry were born.
Both Kate and William are 31, and the next time they will be seen by the public is with their baby in front of the hospital.
The first to be informed about the birth of the royal baby will be the Queen, seniors of the Royal family and Kate's family. After a medical report is taken from the hospital to the palace, an announcement is expected on facebook and twitter. This will be followed by an announcement to the media, reports BBC.
All the members of the Commonwealth will be praying for a safe delivery, said Prime Minister David Cameron.
My thoughts and prayers are with Kate and the whole family on this enormously special day," tweeted The Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby. He will perform a christening ceremony, if it needs to take place.
