'Duck Dynasty' Axed By A&E:Where Will it Be Aired?
Good news for all the "Duck Dynasty" Fans. According to reports by TMZ, due to the furor created by Phil Robertson (with his comments on homosexuality), the reality show will not go off air even if A&E decides to let go of it.
Reportedly, there are two more networks that are interested in taking up the show. One of the networks is Hunt Channel, which has offered to take up the series.
"Merrill Sport, the president of Hunt, told TMZ, he would "pick up 'Duck Dynasty' in a heart beat ... and would beam the show straight to its most loyal viewers: sportsmen and Christians."
Even Pursuit Channel, which is dedicated to hunting, has expressed interest in airing the series if A&E chooses to pass.
The new season of the show will kick-off from January and it has been reported that Phil Robertson will be part of the season's first episode. Currently, Robertson has been suspended from the show as the network feels his comments on homosexuality to GQ magazine were not appropriate.
Robertson told the magazine, "It seems like, to me, a vagina-as a man-would be more desirable than a man's anus."
"Everything is blurred on what's right and what's wrong, Sin becomes fine. Start with homosexual behavior and just morph out from there. Bestiality, sleeping around with this woman and that woman and that woman and those men."
Regarding his comments, the Duck Dynasty star told a reporter from Mail Online, "I love all men and women."
"When a member of the class thanked Robertson for saying what he said in the interview, he appeared to shrug it off and said I didn't think much of it at all, but it seems a lot of other people did," added the website.
Robertson and his family are considering pulling out from the show. There decision of pulling a plug on the most popular reality TV show has not only disappointed their fans buy has also brought politicians and Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal in their support as they think every Christian has a right to free speech.
