A coroner's report has been released about the body of Jackass star Ryan Dunn, and they say the actor died due to crash impact and fire.

A spokesperson from the Chester County coroner's office has released Dunn and his passenger's cause of death. The office claims the stuntman and his passenger Zachary Hartwell died due to a massive blunt force trauma caused by the crash and thermal trauma due to the fire that "engulfed" the Porsche 911 GT3. Patty Emons, the spokesperson, added that the complete toxicology report on Dunn's body will be released in four to six weeks. The toxicology examination is key determine how much alcohol Dunn has taken in before accidentally crashing his white sports car.

According to a preliminary examination of the vehicle and crash site, the Porsche is suspected to have been moving for over100 miles per hour (160 kilometers per hour). Witnesses say the Porsche jumped over a guard rail before it went straight into the trees before it hit a trunk and exploded. Route 322, the suburban road where Dunn crashed his vehicle, has a limit of 55 miles per hour. Both Dunn and Hartwell were dead before the ambulance came.

Ryan Dunn's brother, Eric Dunn, has spoken to the Associated Press about the death of the Jackass member. "We appreciate the support of Ryan's fans during this time, and we are grateful for your thoughts and prayers", said Dunn according to a report posted at Ninemsn. The brother added "Ryan will be greatly missed, but he will forever remain in our hearts". The late stuntman's friends and co-stars are expressing their grief in different ways. Stephen Glover, who's famously known as "Steve-O", has cancelled six stand-up comedy shows in California after hearing news of the accident. Steve-O later tweeted "I don't know what to say, except I love Ryan Dunn and I'm really going to miss him".
