Dwayne Johnson death hoax started few weeks ago. It was being reported that Johnson popularly known as "The Rock" fell from the cliff in New Zealand while shooting for "Fast & Furious 7." Interestingly, Johnson is one of the very few celebrities who became victim of two death hoaxes within one week.

The first claim said that Johnson died on the set of "Fast & Furious 7" while performing a dangerous stunt where as second claim by Global Associated News said "Actor Dwayne Johnson died while filming a movie in New Zealand early this morning - April 12, 2014," the report read.

"Preliminary reports from New Zealand Police officials indicate that the actor fell more than 60 feet to his death on the Kauri Cliffs while on-set. Specific details are not yet available. The accident occurred at approximately 4:30 a.m."

Fans need not worry though because the "Hercules" actor is still alive and kicking. As for those who believed the hoax, they are regretting their decision to click on Johnson's fake death link. Apparently, Johnson fans who fell prey to the news are directed to the link, which automatically downloads unwanted software program PUP.Optional.Bandoo on their devices.

The user who clicked on the link was requested to download a media file. The message after clicking on the news said: "Facebook Media Plugin Required: download and install the plugin to watch the video"

Dwayne Johnson death hoax has angered his fans worldwide and many of them expressed their disappointment on Twitter saying that such insensitive news reports should be stopped. Johnson himself was angry after his death reports went rampant on web. He suggested on his Twitter page that he would love to meet the person who is spreading such rumors so that he can make him feel what being dead feels like.
