Dwelling approvals in Australia drop by 4.2 percent in November
Dwelling approvals in the country dropped by 4.2 percent in November 2010 says the Australia Bureau of Statistics Building Approvals.
The number of total dwelling approvals in November was in contrast to the 8.3 percent increase in October. According to the agency, November figures showed Victoria increasing by 3.1 percent, %), Queensland by 3.3 percent and Western Australia by 7.1 percent.

New South Wales approvals dropped by 13.4 percent while South Australia also registered negative 2.7 percent fewer dwelling approvals in seasonally adjusted terms.
Private sector houses approved fell 1.7 percent with falls in New South Wales (-4.9%) and Victoria (-2.8%) while Queensland (4.1%) and Western Australia (0.9%) rose. South Australia remained steady.
The value of total building approved fell 3.5 percent in November in seasonally adjusted terms. The value of total residential building fell by 5.9 percent while non-residential building rose by 1.4 percent.
