Dwyane Wade to Add Another Ring to Collection, Engaged to Gabrielle Union

Dwyane Wade has already won NBA championships in 2006, 2012 and 2013. He’s set to add yet another ring to his collection after being engaged with actress Gabrielle Union Saturday night.

The 31-year-old Wade proposed to his long-time girlfriend before the Miami Heat’s Christmas party and the 41-year-old Union obliged. Both announced the engagement news via social media.

The pair have been in a relationship for years now and indicated that marriage was in the plans for quite a time already. Their Christmas cards had return address stickers with “Wade-Union Family” and messages of “Happy Holidays from the Wade-Union Family” with pictures of Wade and Union plus Wade’s two sons and a nephew.

Aside from the social media posts, no official formal statements have been released from both camps and no date has been announced. Both Wade and Union will be in their second marriage.

Wade was officially divorced from his high school girlfriend Siohvaughn Funches in 2010 after a lengthy court battle. Wade was granted sole custody of sons 11-year-old Zaire Blessing Dwyane and 6-year-old Zion Malachi Airamis in 2011.

Union was an all-star point guard in high school and also played soccer and track and field. She starred in the movies “Bring It On” in 2000 and “Bad Boys II” in 2003; and CBS drama series “City of Angels” among others.
