Dwyane Wade needs some help to propose to long-time girlfriend, Gabrielle Union. Is there such thing as a perfect proposal?

Most men usually have a common thought of how to propose by simply buying a ring, getting down on one knee and asking for her hand. Those sweet moves should be enough to sweep a girl off her feet.

For Wade, his proposal strategy required a little team effort. The Associated Press reported that Wade's two children and one nephew helped him with his surprise engagement. Zion, Wade's youngest son, held up a board with Gabrielle's name on it. Then, his nephew Dahveon Morris and oldest son Zaire, held up two more boards which read "Will you marry us?"

Union practically had no idea that Wade was going to propose to her. Any lady who would see those signs would really have a thought of what's going to happen next. When Union turned to Wade, she saw him on bended knee handing her over the 8.5 carat diamond ring.

"My kids were involved in it," Wade told the Associated Press. "We asked her to marry all of us, not just me," he added. "We're a package deal, so it was cool," Wade noted.

The basketball superstar also revealed that the proposal took place in a regular Saturday. Union had absolutely no clue that it was going to happen. She wrote on Twitter the next day that she was still in shock but she was really happy.

If a couple has been in a relationship long enough, naturally, they would want to settle down. The proposal was simple and sweet. Wade has certainly made it personal and meaningful. Union didn't hesitate in saying "yes."

According to Wade, they aren't planning on staying engaged for a long time. Although they do not have yet a set date for the actual wedding, Wade revealed that it should happen in September 2014.
