Romance was speculated to be brewing between young singers Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift after a photo of the two emerged online showing their supposed closeness.

Ed Sheeran fans can now breathe a sigh of relief because the red headed singer has denied any romance with the famous blonde singer.

In a video posted on Gossip Cop, Ed denied that he's dating the country superstar, simply saying "no!" when asked by the cameras whether there was any truth in any of the romance rumours.

The fact that the 'Drunk' singer has now denied the claims just adds to speculation that he may be getting back together with his ex-girlfriend, after the pair reportedly met up in Australia recently.

Ed's ex-girlfriend is a former Australian Big Brother star whom he invited to his after-party, where the former lovers hung out all night.

According to Mirror, the relationship of the two did not last long. However, they parted in good terms and kept in touch.

Ed and Taylor have never been shy about their blossoming friendship but rumours emerged that they were more than just friends, with the pair having a secret romance, which they reportedly rekindled after dating briefly last year following Swift's car crash relationship with One Direction's Harry Styles.

"Taylor has always loved Ed to bits. He's just an adorably sweet guy who makes her laugh and feel really confident. Harry had that irresistible bad boy thing but Taylor has realised she would rather give it a go with a guy who can make her happy on a different level," a source told The Sun.
