The atrocities in Egypt have generated mixed reactions so far. Everyone seems to have individual reaction to the police violence that cause hundreds of protesters in Cairo. Several countries all around the world have also issued their official reaction regarding the same.

France

François Hollande, the president of the country, summoned the Egyptian ambassador to let him know that all measures must be taken in order to discourage civil war in the country. He officially condemned the violence which caused hundreds of lives. The repression must end immediately, he demanded.

Iran

The new president of Iran has asked the army in Egypt to end suppressing the common people in Egypt. Hasan Rouhani, the president of Iran, said in his official speech that a great freedom-seeking country like Egypt should not be suppressed by any means. The speech was broadcast live on Iran's state TV.

U.S.

President Barack Obama cancelled joint exercises with Egyptian military as he opined that U.S. could not be able to continue the relation with the country the same way it used to before. He seems to be considering probable further steps regarding the nation's relation with Egypt which continues to indulge in instability and violence. Obama has also said in an official statement that the U.S. is not in a position to decide Egypt's future. It is the Egyptians who have to do it for them.

Russia

Russia has officially asked its people not to travel to Egypt. Around 60,000 Russians are presently in Egypt, according to the tourism board if the country. They have been asked to stay away from rallies and bigger cities. On the other hand, it was not suggested by the diplomats for the Russians to get detached from Egypt altogether.

Canada

Canada hopes that peace will prevail even though the situation is quite violent right now. John Baird, the foreign affairs minister, along with the ambassador of the country for religious freedom, Andrew Bennett; expressed grave concerns regarding the attacks on the Christian churches in Egypt. The official statement disagrees on attacking people in a place of worship. They asked Egyptian authorities to take action to protect religious sites and worshippers from intimidation and violence.
