Picture this: A rather peepshow shot of a woman lying in a crumpled heap on the floor wearing just her underwear would be reminiscent of a scene of crime thriller novel or maybe even a sexual-crime bases TV series such as "Law & Order SVU".

But no, the photo in question was part of the Elle Macpherson 2004 lingerie ad campaign and is perhaps the last picture a consumer would want to look at it if in mind to do some lingerie shopping. These images were a far cry from the smiling and inordinately pretty Victoria's Secret campaigns that make women covet and men lust.

In the second shot, a woman is either wearing or in the act of removing her panties - sitting on a sofa. Yet a third shows a woman bending down presumably to fill the tube for a bath, wearing, of course her undies. And finally, there's a fourth - a tad NSFW with a woman lying on the sofa with her hand on her crotch.

Each photo has a very voyeuristic feel that borders downright on the creepy. The women are all faceless, nameless bodies wearing the lingerie. The message is a tad ambiguous - is it that women who wear Elle Macpherson Intimates are stalked? Or that every kind of woman wears Elle? Or they're so comfortable in their Elle Macpherson Intimates that they just lounge around the house wearing nothing but!

Shot by the Glue Society, an Australian-based ad agency that is known for their rather eyeball-grabbing work - one wonders what everyone was thinking?
