The rumours of Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi's impending divorce continue after the host was seen with a mystery brunette on Feb. 21. Reports suggest that Ellen has been cheating on Portia with other women, predicting the end of their relationship. In 2013, there have already been reports that claim it was Ellen's jealous and controlling nature that drive a wedge between her and Portia.

"The latest photo op for the paparazzi wasn't an accident, but very purposeful instead. Ellen knew that she and her friend would be photographed together and that Portia would see the pictures. She knows better than to be seen with a new woman alone, unless Ellen wants people to talk," noted CelebDirtyLaundry.

If this is true, what could be Ellen's motive behind it? Why would she need a publicity stunt? Or does she want to make Portia jealous? Portia and Ellen have been featured on the cover of many tabloids, speculating that their marriage is doomed. Several publications have previously reported that the couple needs therapy. "Ellen is a jealous control freak and it is taking a toll on Portia. Portia loves Ellen to death but feels like she is trapped in Ellen's world and she cannot get out. She has had it with Ellen's insecurities and jealousy! There is even a talk of separation but for now, the couple is trying to work it out in therapy," noted Classicalite.

Portia is reportedly insisting on therapy because she thinks Ellen's issues from abuse may still be linked to their marital woes. Ellen used to have treatment sessions twice a week but since they were married, her coping mechanisms have eroded and it affects their marriage. Reports say it is Ellen's cynical pattern of being controlling and mean then she will cry and spoil her with cars, vacations and jewelry whenever Portia pulls away.

In Ellen's latest interview however, she revealed that she is still very much in love with Portia, who just didn't wear her wedding ring because of getting blisters while riding horses.
