Ellen DeGeneres And Portia De Rossi's Explanation Of 'Epic Fight' Story Corroborated By Charity
Ellen Degeneres and Portia de Rossi did not leave a fund-raiser event hanging. They also did not have an "epic fight" causing them to skip the event. The charity itself is said so.
Even though Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi already clarified the rumours that they did not attend a charity event that they were supposed to because of an "epic fight" they had, it was impossible to stop the rumour mills from churning when there are no evidence to corroborate their story. It turns out however, that the Hollywood power couple, indeed were telling the truth. NY Daily News reported that the charity that they supposedly "disappointed" with their absence already spoke out.
(De Rossi and DeGeneres) never agreed to attend this year's benefit and they were not absent due to an argument on their way to the event," Saving Spot! founder Lizzie Scherer said in a statement given out last Tuesday. The founder also added that the entire scenario claiming the two were already driving towards the event and had to turn around after having a big fight in the car is just fabricated. There was no such fight and in the first place, the A-list couple never agreed and therefore, did not have the plan, the attend the benefit.
This is the voice that everyone was waiting for since the story broke. The LA-based canine-rescue charity had remained mum for quite a while since the reports came out a week ago, including Fox News. Sources were even cited that said the two had an argument of "epic" proportions that caused them to flake out at the fundraising event held on October 28. Back then, Ellen and Portia immediately explained that no such thing happened. While they are supportive of the charity, especially since Ellen had a special spot for dogs, the two claimed that their images attached on the invitations of the said event were not approved and could be considered, misleading.
Ellen and Portia has been hounded with fighting and divorce rumors now, usually centered around the issue of having a baby. There were reports that Portia wanted to have a baby of their own while Ellen is against it. To end all rumors, the "Scandal" actress already had an interview with Jimmy Kimmel Live and said they are better off as good aunts and that they do not desire to have babies.
