On Friday night, a man named Elliot Rodger went on a rampage as he killed six people in the Santa Barbara area. Latest reports suggested that Elliot was the son of an assistant director on "The Hunger Games." Also, the 22-year-old man wanted people to see him as the "true alpha male."
"The Rodger family offers our deepest compassion and sympathies to the families involved in this terrible tragedy," the family said in a statement issued through their lawyer, Alan Shifman. "We are experiencing the most inconceivable pain and our hearts go out to everyone involved," said the family in a statement (via People).

After killing the three men in his apartment, Elliot took his guns and drove a BMW. He shot two girls in front of a sorority and a third student inside a deli.
Ellliot also hit two bicyclists and sprayed bullets on people. Later, he crashed his car and was found dead with a gunshot to the head. Authorities believed that he shot himself.
Before the carnage, Elliot made a video, uploaded it on YouTube and called it 'Retribution'.
"On the day of retribution I'm going to enter the hottest sorority house of UCSB," said the killer in the video.
"I'll take great pleasure in slaughtering all of you."
He also complained in the six-minute video that girls loved other men but not him.
"It's an injustice ... I'm the perfect guy, and yet you throw yourselves at all these obnoxious men instead of me, the supreme gentleman."
Elliot Rodger lived in an apartment near the campus of the University of California and studied at Santa Barbara City College.
