Lindsay Lohan is facing yet another legal battle when Los Angeles authorities decide to pursue theft charges against the 24 year old, “Mean Girls” star.

According to The Associated Press Entertainment Writer, Paul McCartney, the Los Angeles police arrived at the beleaguered actress’s home near Venice Beach, Tuesday with a search warrant, looking for a $2,500 worth of necklace.

The AP noted however that before the police could hand in the search warrant, the necklace was turned over by an individual, refused to be named by the police.

The search came following a complaint filed by Kamofie & Co., a Venice custom jewelry store, which is located near the actress’s home.

The owners of the store identified and confirmed that the found necklace was from their very own, Kamofie. But Jeff Kaman, the husband of storeowner Sofia Kaman refused to provide comment, added AP, saying that the case is undergoing police investigation.

Meanwhile, Los Angeles police Officer Bruce Borihanh said that the person involved in the investigation could be facing possible grand theft.

Bad news for the Parent Trap star should the police pursue charges with enough evidence linking her to the stolen jewelry. Lohan is already been battling the courts for a number of cases. The file report said, according to AP, that the necklace was stolen on January 22. The stealing incident occurred three weeks after Lohan was released from the Betty Ford Center, for a rehabilitation program ordered by the court. She was last slapped with assault and battery charges in a Betty Ford Clinic incident in December.
