Emily Blunt talks about her relationship with ex-boyfriend Michael Buble, says she still loves his family
After remaining silent for several years, Emily Blunt has finally decided to speak up about her past relationship with crooner Michael Buble. The couple, who dated for three years, parted ways due to several infidelity rumours looming around Buble. However, Blunt never addressed or confirmed any of the rumours, until now.
The actress failed to elaborate on the cheating rumours that surrounded her relationship with Buble back in 2008. However, she still has positive feelings towards the singer’s loved ones. According to ABC News, Blunt told Howard Stern during his Sirius XM radio show, “I loved his family. Still do. Love his family.”
Stern also insinuated that she and Buble were a perfect match but the “Devil Wears Prada” actress said, “I don’t know if I was perfect with him, but we had a good time.”
Blunt married fellow actor John Krasinski in 2010 and has a one-year-old daughter, Hazel, with him. Buble, on the other hand, married Luisana Lopilato in 2011 and has a 2-year-old son named Noah and another baby on the way.
Blunt also discussed her stuttering issues as a child during her interview with Stern, Time reported. The actress shared how her stuttering tends to come back during phone conversations. “When I’m on the phone, it comes back, because I think it’s that pressure to communicate only with your voice,” said Blunt.
Blunt started stuttering as a child and was encouraged by her teacher to join school plays to curb the problem and also gain confidence. The actress is currently part of the American Institute for Stuttering, a nonprofit organisation that provides affordable speech therapy to people with the same problem.
Meanwhile, in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Blunt shared her experience working as the snippy, sarcastic and would-die-for fashion runway assistant in the movie “The Devil Wars Prada.” “I had so much fun with that part it was just mind-blowing.”
When asked if it was easy being mean to Anne Hathaway’s character in the film, she replied, “With those lovely doe eyes of hers? Very hard!”
In the movie, Blunt worked with Hathaway as a fellow assistant to Meryl Streep’s character, Miranda Priestley.
