Emin Features Miss Universe Olivia Culpo in Amor Video (See Videos)
Just in time for Miss Universe 62nd edition, Azerbaijani singer-songwriter Emin released his Russian version of a hit single "Amor" featuring the reigning Miss Universe Olivia Culpo. Recently shot in Moscow, the behind the scenes look of the official music video of "Amor" takes its viewers to the story and the inspiration behind the song.
According to Emin in an interview shown in his behind the scene video, his latest album is the most contemporary piece of music that he ever worked on. "I think my current album which is about to come out is the freshest and youngest, the most contemporary piece of music that I ever worked on," said Emin.
"It's a combination between pop, dance and ballads it's really a... very wide, diverse sound," says Amin's producer Ali Dee.
"Amor means love, and the story is the girl that Emin is searching for and the one that seems to get away," according to Miss Universe Olivia Culpo.
"Amor" is definitely a new sound for Emin, this is his first contemporary Pop attempt and it's a perfect record were people can dance in their car and a song that can be played in a club or a stadium where a big crowd can dance to it. Although this could be a big shift from his usual genra, this new album could be his breakthrough to the music industry.
The 33-year-old Russian-bred artist gained his first public attention when he debut his album "Still" which sold over 100,000 copies worldwide. After his first album, Emin released an album per year: Incredible in 2007, Obsession in 2008 that features the classic songs of Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley, Devotion in 2009, Wonder in 2010 and After the Thunder in 2012. All of his albums are supported by concerts in Baku and his home town Moscow.
Thanks to the support of his very influential family, Emin's song "Heart Keeps Beating" was his first single in Russia that received good airplay on Russian Radio. Emin is the son of Aras Agalarov, the Russian billionaire behind Crocus International, and he is married to Leyla Aliyeva, the daughter of the President of Azerbaijn IIham Aliyev who is now very active with charity works.
