Popular American rapper, Eminem aka Mr. Slim Shady is one of the big artists today who have a big chance to bag the album of the year award for the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards now being held at Staples Center, Los Angeles, CA.

Described by Nekesa Mumbi Moody, the Music Writer for the Associated Press as ‘gifted and twisted rapper’, Eminem has 10 nominations for this year’s Grammy awards.

The rapper is vying for the much-coveted award for his hit song, “Love The Way You Lie”, which features an equally popular R& B singer, Rihanna. Eminem’s single is nominated for the record and song of the year categories, two of the major categories for the music awards night.

The “Love The Way You Lie” hit single is part of Eminem’s 2010 best-selling album, “Recovery”. The AP also added that this album, which marked Eminem’s comeback in the music scene, has been a favorite to bag the best album category.

This is the third time that Eminem’s album has been nominated for the album of the year category, but lost in two previous occasions. Eminem is now competing with another popular record, “(Expletive) You” by Cee Lo Green’s.
