Eminem in a "sex-themed drama," can the rapper pull it off?
Eminem is reportedly set to star in a "sex-themed drama" as reports say that the rapper is in talks for a role in an upcoming film featuring Oscar-winning actress Rachel Weisz (The Constant Gardener). Eminem was last seen on the big-screen in a cameo role in Judd Apatow's Funny People.
A Hollywood trade publication broke the news on Twitter that Eminem and studios are currently on negotiation for a role in 360, which is described in the media as a "sex-themed drama."
The film will be directed by Fernando Meirelles, and is loosely based on Arthur Schnitzler play entitled 'Reign' featuring multiple short scenes depicting couples either before or after a sexual encounter (which begs the question: Will Eminem have a before-sexual-encounter or after-sexual-encounter role?).
Production Weekly reported that actors who are attached to the project includes Oscar-winners Anthony Hopkins (Silence of the Lamb, Remains of the Days), Weiz and Frances McDormand (Fargo). Can Eminem level with these actors? Eminem's acting credits, aside from his Judd Appatow film cameo, includes the lead role in semi-biographical 8 Mile and a recent guesting in Entourage.
But the rapper is back on his game, and that's good news. His music and latest album has been topping billboard charts, with Love The Way You Lie spending many weeks on the top spot.
Note however that Production Weekly has removed the tweet for unspecified reason.
