Eminem, Sia’s 'Guts Over Fear' Video Features ‘ANTM’ Finalist Chantelle, Reaches 4 Million YouTube Views
The music video of Eminem’s new single “Guts Over Fear” featuring Sia Furler was released on Nov. 24, Monday. The video features a Cinderella story and racked up over four million views on its first day on YouTube.
Coinciding with the 15th anniversary album titled “Shady XV,” the release of the new music video came less than a week after a preview of his single “Vegas,” which contains controversial lyrics that mention raping rapper Iggy Azalea.
The “Guts Over Fear” music video tells a story of a boxer’s journey from rags to riches starting from his preparation to enter the ring and cuts to a flashback when he was a restaurant dishwasher in suburban Michigan, Eminem’s hometown.
Before showing the boxer’s victory, the video shows his struggle with paying bills, losing his job, having a pregnant and dealing with an alcoholic father.
“Chandelier” hit maker Sia, who is known for being camera shy, is physically featured in the music video. Instead, “America’s Next Top Model” finalist Chantelle Brown-Young appears as her stand-in actor singing the “Guts Over Fear” chorus.
Brown-Young is known as the first “ANTM” contestant with a skin condition called vitiligo. In the “Guts Over Fear” music video, she represented the Australian singer-songwriter by wearing a blonde wig with a fringe.
