Emma Stone: Magic in the Moonlight Actress Thinks Game of Thrones is a Joke, Talks about Working with Woody Allen in New Film
Actress Emma Stone, who currently promotes her upcoming film titled "Magic In The Moonlight," made a guest appearance in the "MTV After Hours" with Josh Horowitz. The 25-year-old actress was asked to play the "This Or That" game where she gave her thoughts on the HBO series "Game of Thrones."
In the video, MTV News correspondent Josh Horowitz told the "Amazing Spiderman" star that he will ask her a series of questions where all she has to do is tell him which one she prefers. The series of questions included mustache or beard, Beyonce or Taylor Swift, peanut butter versus GIFs, actual nudes or never nudes and the paparazzi or poison ivy.
When asked between "Orange Is The New Black" and "Game of Thrones," Emma chose the comedy-drama series that she has watched because she thinks "Game of Thrones" is a joke show that is not real. Click HERE to watch the full "MTV After Hours" with Josh Horowitz interview.
Emma Stone stars in the romantic comedy film "Magic In The Moonlight" opposite Colin Firth and the two stars talked about their experience of working with film director Woody Allen. In the NYTimes interview, Emma Stone admitted that the nerves were high on the set with the legendary director around.
"There's no rehearsal process, no table read, no real preparation. You're just shot out of a cannon and you're rolling. I've never been on a set where everyone was so nervous. I was certain of being fired," the actress shared. Co-star Colin Firth, 53, revealed that filming was a little train wreck during the first day but things eventually warmed up and working became a real pleasure for them.
"He became engaged as a director," the English actor shared. Stone and Firth also sat down for an interview with Indiewire in New York City to further discuss their filming experience in the Woody Allen movie.
When asked about what surprised her working with Woody Allen, Emma Stone shared that she has been told the film director will not really direct but only sit quietly and aimlessly throwing things out. "But also what's so wild about Woody is you say his lines and -- from what I experienced -- he'll say, 'That sounds like my dialogue. That sounds like something I wrote. Just make something up.' And you're just like, 'OK, I'll rewrite your beautiful writing,'" Stone revealed.
Colin Firth agrees and revealed that he also got terrified since there were no rehearsals. "I was scared that I would be in a void. We both had tons of dialogue, huge amounts of material, which needed to be done apparently seamlessly and I was so concerned about that. I really did far more prep on text than I normally do," the actor shared.
"Magic In The Moonlight" is scheduled to hit theaters on Friday, July 25.
