Emma Watson Reveals how Tom Felton Broke her Heart
British actress Emma Watson finally revealed some of the behind-the-scenes secret of her Harry Potter years including how her co-star Tome Felton broke her heart.
Did Emma Watson who we have known as Hermione had been in a relationship with Tom Felton who played the sinister Draco Malfoy?
Unfortunately, it did not happen. Emma revealed to Mirror.co.uk that during her young age between ten and twelve, she had a huge crush on Tom. However, Tom did not share the same feelings.
"Between the ages of ten and twelve I had a really terrible crush on Tom Felton, to the extent that I would go into work in the morning and look down the numbers on the call sheet to see if he was going to be in. We love a bad guy, he was a few years older and he had a skateboard - and that just did it really," Emma shared.
"He totally knew [she had a crush on him] and the thing is that he'd tell everyone, 'I see her in a younger, sisterly way,' and it just broke my heart. It still does," the actress quickly added.
Emma also shared how she struggled to pull herself out of the Hermione stereotype. It came to the point that her personal life was influenced by the role that she played.
"She is so innocent, she is so good, that anything in contrast to her looks like crazy. I wear a pair of ripped jeans and they are like, 'Emma Watson wearing ripped jeans, what would Hermione say?,' it's like so scandalous," she explains.
She shared that she was scared to take on new roles because she doubted herself if she can do it. She said that she did not know if she can really be an actress and if she had other people in her. She added that Hermione was similar to her own personality that made it easy for her to play the character for ten years that she got comfortable.
However, Emma Watson successfully overcame the challenge and played new characters. Her most recent movie, "The Perks of Being a Wallflower," was already showing in theaters. She was also casted in upcoming films of Sofia Coppola's "The Bling Ring" and Darren Aronofsky's "Noah".
